Lithani
A Lithani 'fleet' is technically a dispersal of continent-sized spore-forms adrift between star systems at sub-light velocities. The concept of 'ships' does not translate well. Lithani commanders are chosen by the planetary consciousness at moments of unusual geological attention — an eruption, a convergence, a magnetic reversal — and sent as ambassadors into a universe they find baffling and predominantly too fast. They are profoundly territorial, capable of patience measured in geological epochs, and when threatened, capable of converting moons into weapons platforms. The Sovereignty's diplomatic notes to the Lithani are answered an average of forty years after submission. The replies are always polite.

Gameplay Style: Lithani
Lithani's +35 Environment modifier is the highest in the game — on suitable planets your population cap and production baseline are exceptional. Pair this with +15 Growth for rapid population expansion and you have a slow-starting but deeply sustainable economic engine. The hot, high-gravity, CO₂-heavy home preference means you will frequently receive unsuitable starter planets, so budget for development fund investment in your first week.
Natural Stealth and Stealthed Ambush define Lithani's military identity: you are not a frontal assault race. You are an ambush race. Run Corsair missions with your stealthed fleets to raid commerce and disrupt enemy economy while keeping your own operations invisible to retaliation. Asteroid Management adds a unique siege option — use it against heavily defended fortresses where conventional fleet assault would be costly.
Your survival modifier is the highest of any race at +40, meaning your fleets persist through engagements that would rout others. This rewards an attritional, defensive strategy: hold your core systems behind stealth and patient defense, let attackers bleed against your resilience, and strike back selectively. Low morale (-10) means your fleets do not benefit from morale bonuses — but your high survival compensates for most of what morale would otherwise provide.
